Error Codes
KWT Labs applications display error codes to help identify issues quickly. Find your code below for meaning and recommended solutions.
License Errors
| Code | Meaning | Solution |
|---|---|---|
LICENSE-101 |
Invalid or unrecognized license key | Verify the key was copied correctly with no extra spaces. Check you're using the key for the correct product. Contact support if the key was never activated. |
LICENSE-102 |
License already activated on another machine | Deactivate on the old PC first (Help → Deactivate). Wait 5 minutes, then retry activation. |
LICENSE-103 |
License expired (subscription) | Renew your subscription via the link in your expiry email or contact sales@kwtlabs.com. |
LICENSE-104 |
Cannot reach license server | Check internet connection and firewall. Use offline activation if the network blocks outbound HTTPS. |
Spider Errors
| Code | Meaning | Solution |

SPIDER-301 |
Crawl blocked by robots.txt | The start URL or a parent path is disallowed. Review robots.txt or disable "Respect robots.txt" if you own the site. |
SPIDER-302 |
Connection timeout | Server is slow or unreachable. Increase timeout in Preferences or reduce thread count. |
SPIDER-401 |
Authentication required | Add HTTP basic auth credentials under Crawl Settings → Authentication. |
SPIDER-502 |
Update download failed | Download the latest installer manually from Downloads and install over the existing version. |
SPIDER-601 |
Export failed — disk full | Free disk space on the export destination drive. Try exporting to Desktop first. |
Mind Studio Errors
| Code | Meaning | Solution |
|---|---|---|
MIND-201 |
Project file is locked | Another instance has the file open. Close other Mind Studio windows or check if the file is syncing via cloud storage. |
MIND-202 |
Corrupted project file | Restore from backup (.kwt.bak in the same folder). Auto-save creates backups every 15 minutes. |
MIND-301 |
PDF export failed | Map may be too large. Try SVG export or collapse branches before exporting. |
