Activation Failed

Problem

Online activation fails with an error message or times out before completing.

Symptoms

Error 101: Activation failed
"License key invalid" with a correct key
Activation spinner runs then shows timeout
Works on mobile hotspot but not office network

Cause

Firewall or proxy blocking license.kwtlabs.com, VPN interference, key already active elsewhere, or temporary license server maintenance.

Resolution

1Verify the key — copy from email again, paste into Notepad first to check for hidden characters.
2Temporarily disable VPN and corporate proxy. Ensure license.kwtlabs.com is reachable (port 443).
3Try activation on a mobile hotspot to rule out network restrictions.
4Use Help → Offline Activation: follow the steps to generate a request file and email it to support@kwtlabs.com.
