Software Won't Open

Problem

KWT Spider or Mind Studio does not launch — double-clicking the icon does nothing or the app closes immediately.

Symptoms

Application window flashes and disappears
No response when clicking the desktop shortcut
Windows Defender or SmartScreen blocked the app
Error 203 on startup

Cause

Common causes include antivirus quarantine, corrupted app data, missing Visual C++ runtime, or insufficient permissions on first run.

Resolution

1Right-click the shortcut → Run as administrator (once). If it works, check folder permissions for %ProgramFiles%\KWT Labs.
2Open Windows Security → Protection history. Restore any quarantined KWT Labs files and add C:\Program Files\KWT Labs as an exclusion.
3Install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) from Microsoft's website.
4If still failing: uninstall, delete %AppData%\KWT Labs, reinstall from kwtlabs.com/downloads.
